The exhibition “The Flame of the Beautiful, the Great and the True” was a small but precious ark of memory, dedicated to the global symbols of Olympism: the Olympic Flame and the Olympic Anthem.

It lasted from May 24, 2024, to September 24, 2024, and was hosted at the Palamas House—the birthplace of the great Greek poet in Patras, located at 241 Korinthou Street. This historic building in the heart of the city was recently (2018) reconstructed ‘in the image and likeness’ of the original structure, where Kostis Palamas, the poet of the Olympic Anthem, spent the first years of his life.
With the Olympic and Paralympic Games torches as its main exhibits, the exhibition addressed several other aspects of the modern Olympic Games through a multitude of other memorabilia and documentation.
Mr. Antonopoulos, holder of a Master’s Degree in Olympic Studies from the School of Human Movement and Quality of Life Sciences of the University of the Peloponnese, contributed to the creation of this significant exhibition, which was the result of voluntary work by several people, and aimed to honor the PARIS 2024 Olympic Games.
